Beep is Six Months Old

I can't believe I'm typing this, but my little baby Blanche is six months old today!  In some ways it seems like she's been around forever, we can't hardly remember life before her.  In other ways it's like I just saw her cute little face.  She has grown the best personality and I can't wait to see it come out more and more over the next six months.  She has a doctors appointment on Monday where she'll once again get shots and by the end of next week we're gonna introduce her first veggies!  Hopefully she'll like them :)

There's nothing new in our life I don't think.  We went to see the new black bear exhibit at the zoo on Monday and that was fun.  In fact, we're going back tonight.  Then in a few weeks I think we'll be going to our apple orchard and I can't wait for Blanche to pick apples and see the animals!

Oh, I do have one new thing to share!  I like to spend my free time looking at this.

That's all for now!

Hello, Hello!

Wow, this thing has changed since I last posted!  Hopefully it's not too different....

I'm not going into in depth detail of the last 5 months or whatever because that would be way too long and I don't have that kind of time.  But hopefully I can find myself updating this more.  Blanche is (sadly, just) moving into her own room this weekend so every now and then I might be able to blog while she takes a nap.  There's just always more important things to do during my few moments of freedom.  Something tells me though, since we're doing it completely at the wrong time, that naps and bedtime are going to get super out of whack with moving to her own room.  We'll see.

Blanche is getting so big!  On September 13th she'll be six months old!  I can't believe she'll be halfway to her 1st birthday already.  Time really does go by too fast :( She can almost sit up by herself and I think crawling is on the near herizon and she's started eating oatmeal baby cereal!  Once she has her next doctor's appointment we're going to start her on some veggies :) I can't wait, she is a champion eater of the oatmeal and hopefully she will have aquired my tastes opposed to Matt's.

There really isn't anything new with us besides everything baby.  Getting poorer and poorer by living down here.  Which, by the way, kind of sucks.  I miss Duluth.  But oh well as long as Matt likes his job since he's the one working.  I still hold false hope of moving back to Duluth or getting back out of the Cities but we're probably trapped here forever.

Anyway, that's all Beep is going to allow me to type right now but I will not neglect this for five months again.  Promise!

Blanche Lee

Well, our baby is here and it's a girl! We named her Blanche Lee. Most people know that was my dream name for a daughter since I was about ten and luckily I think it suits her just fine. She arrived Tuesday, March 13th at 3:28 AM, weighed 8 lbs 11 oz, and is 21 inches long. Turns out she's perfect :)

This is not about my labor so I'm not going into that online but to say it ended up being an emergency c-section, which still makes me sad, but she made it and she's healthy so that's all that matters. Our stay at the hospital was not the best for being stuck there for three days with the crappiest nurses on the planet who hate their jobs, so it was nice when we finally got to go home. We had some help the first week home which was good and now we have to focus on moving things which is super duper stressful when we have Blanche to consider too.

That's all I really have time to say right now. It's hard to accomplish unnecessary tasks with a newborn. My time typing this could have been better used cutting my nails. Oh well, gotta fit in some fun things. Anyway, we love her to death and she's as cute as a button. Her next appointment is on the 2nd so hopefully we find she's still doing perfect and growing well.

This Month is THE Month!

Happy March! March = Eyeball :)

Yesterday we had the "Leap Day Blizzard". It was pretty insane for probably only getting 8 or 9 inches. But the wind created huuuge drifts. Matt was out there shoveling ours and our old lady neighbors driveway for a couple hours. I felt bad I couldn't help.

We had our (possibly) second to last doctor's appointment yesterday in all that snow and I'm soooo glad Matt was here so that he could drive me because it was super stressful. Everything was good with Eye and me so we still just have to wait. Next week my doctor will be working in L&D which is good if my baby decides to come a few days early, because I'd prefer my doctor deliver it. But if I do get to have a 39 and a half week appointment I have to see her RN and I'm not really excited about seeing someone else for what hopefully will be my last appointment. Oh well, I've heard you have to be flexible with babies ;)

That's all I'm going to say for now because I don't even want to begin to think of next month which will probably be a worst month ever following this best month ever. So y'all can hear about that in probably a couple months or whenever I'll have time to update!

Good News!

Eyeball has flipped! At least as of my last appointment on Thursday he/she was head down. Its still quite the wiggly lil baby though, so hopefully it'll stay down. I was sooooo happy to hear it :) I think it's because Eye's daddy is finally home where he belongs. And everything else with me and Baby seems to be just fine minus a sick day for me the day of my appointment. And with the last appointment begins me weekly appointments so now I'll be back in on Wednesday then every week til the munchkin arrives. Can't wait!

What else? Riverdance is coming to Duluth on the 29th and I sooooo wish we could go but tickets are super expensive and then I would have to buy fancy clothes that I hope I'd only be able to fit into one other time in my life, so we won't be going :( And I didn't get to go last time it was in MN either, sigh. At least I got the chance to go when I did. In other happenings for us though, we did finally get Bulldogs hockey tickets!! Next Friday we got a date at the Amsoil and I'm so excited for it! Took Matt long enough..... only the last regular home game of the season. Now he just better hope baby doesn't come before then because this was my only real item on my baby bucketlist and he will face my wrath for a long time if I don't get to go.

I think that's all I got for now. Hopefully there won't be anything too important (at least in a bad way) til our baby is here!

Way Too Much Change

Well now I finally have updates for you guys. Unfortunately none of them are good.

First, what I think is most important, though I think I'm the only one: Eyeball is still head up and really needs to flip by the 16th or we need to make a decision on whether to try an external version to turn it, which could result in an emergency c-section, or wait and see if it turns on its own and if it doesn't (and the doctor doesn't think it will), have a scheduled c-section. I really, really, really do not want to have a c-section but the version only has like a 50% success rate and I'm not sure it would be worth it if there's a chance of having to have an emergency c-section. I don't think I'd like going into the hospital for that procedure and not knowing if I'll be leaving the hospital with a baby; even if it's only three weeks early. I don't know. Hopefully Eye flips by itself in the next two weeks and I won't have to keep worrying about it.

Next stupid stressful change is that we have to move at the end of April/beginning of May because Matt accepted a job offer at the place where he's working down there right now and will be starting May 1st. I can't say it enough that I hate it in the cities and I think up here is a much better place to raise a child. But I really get very little say in the matter. I know Matt can't stay working painting up here when he may get laid off every winter. It's just stressful because I don't think there's enough time to smoothly or even remotely smoothly plan on having a baby, packing, figuring out what to do with the house we only bought a year and three days ago, and moving with two dogs, a one and a half month old, and probably while Matt is going back and forth from down there where I will be responsible to do everything. Then unpacking and trying to set up the house by myself as well, with a one and a half month old and two dogs that have turned into the worst dogs I've ever known over the last month because of all the changes. And more changes probably won't help. Not to mention just everyday living down there will be stressful by itself.

All I know is I will find a way to go see Tim in July. Alone. So I can regain some sanity.

So Much For Getting Better at Posting

Well, obviously my last plan did not work, seeing as it's been a month since I last posted. I've been stressed and busy and lacking anything to update people about besides baby things which I feel will begin to bore people to tears. And that is still the case. There is nothing new in our lives besides baby continuing to grow.

Today I had my doctor's appointment and currently Eyeball is head up which stresses me out even though there's nothing to worry about for four more weeks. So I'm praying and crossing my fingers that Eye figures things out by then. He/she is still very active so I'm sure he/she'll be up and down several times by that 36 weeks where it becomes important. Also, my baby shower is this weekend and I'm super excited to see everybody and see what kinda things Eye gets :) it will be fun.

And in more baby news, Lily the Black Bear's sister, Jewel, is supposedly going to have cubs anyday now. I've been watching for the past four days but nothing so far. You can watch her dencam here http://www.bear.org/livecams/jewel-den-cam.php

See, that's all I have to share. Sorry if it's boring. I know in the future they will be exciting if I have the time to type them!

PS- Tim McGraw's new album, Emotional Traffic, comes out on Tuesday!! Make sure you go pick up a copy or download it on iTunes! :)
